"In a study, two groups of cyclists were exercised to exhaustion. One group drank a carbohydrate replacement drink immediately after exercise, and the other group waited 2 hours. Analysis of muscle tissue revealed that the riders who reloaded immediately after the workout produced muscle glycogen at a rate of 50 percent higher than the group that waited."(Ed Burke Ph. D.
